The Task Force determined to: Provide Homeowners with straight forward and reliable home energy retrofit information. Reduce High Upfront costs and make it easier for homeowners to borrow money for home energy retrofits. Mobilize a well trained National Energy Retrofit Workforce and expand good, green, job opportunities for all American workers.
The Council on Environmental Quality will convene an interagency Energy Retrofit Working Group CHAIRED BY Dept Energy, Housing Urban Development, Agriculture, Labor and EPA. In addition to implementing recommendations and actions of this task force, the working group will track progress, report back in 30 days, and eventually expand to rental properties.
