Great Falls Group Meetings

Great Falls Group Meetings are open to all and held year-round on the third Monday or Tuesday of each month, with a summer recess from June-August. Although some meetings will continue to be held at the Lake Anne Community Center in Reston, a new rotating system for monthly programs began in October 2008. See bottom of page for meeting addresses and directions for Reston, McLean, and Fairfax.

September 21

Water Consciousness - We take our water supply for granted. Yet, the world we live in is rapidly degrading--with everything subject to change. Water Consciousness expands the mind beyond its ordinary pre-occupations to seek answers to questions that now must be asked. Where does our water supply come from? Who owns it, and why? Are there threats to it in the future? Are there steps to take to protect access to it for the future? What about water conservation? What threat does Global Warming pose to the water supply in this area? We invite you to join us as such questions are addressed at the September meeting, which will feature a combined slideshow presentation and group consciousness-raising event with ample opportunities for discussion and engagement. Brian Morrissey will facilitate. He is a long-time educator, author, workshop leader, brain wave researcher, and student of Consciousness. Meeting will be at Lake Anne Community Center, 1609 Washington Plaza N., Reston, VA. Socializing and refreshments start at 7 PM with program at 7:30 PM. Contact is Linda Burchfiel at 703-506-4310 or larva@attglobal.net.
