Special Places

Virginia's environmental treasures range from the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay to the Appalachian Mountains. We'd like to introduce you to some of our favorite special places.

Falling Springs, Allegheny County, VA

Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Suffolk VA.
Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge is anything but dismal! Deciduous and coniferous forests with bald cypress, Atlantic white cedar, maples, oaks and sweet gum are teeming with wildlife and birds.
